COMPOSTING 

Composting is a great alternative to leaf burning!  However, if you can’t compost your own yard waste you have other alternatives for getting rid of it other than burning.

Contact your local waste hauler and inquire if they offer yard waste services along with your trash pickup. Some haulers offer this service for a minimal fee or it is all ready included in your normal monthly payment.

St. Clair County has two composting facilities for the public to dispose of their yard waste. For a small fee St. Clair County residents can dispose of their yard waste at:
