Program or Service Description:
The Tanning Program is intended to provide information for the consumer to make an informed decision regarding the risks of using sunlamp products and to provide adequate directions for skin tanning. This program allows routine inspection of tanning facilities. All tanning facilities are required to be licensed with Illinois Department of Public Health and comply with the Illinois Department of Public Health Illinois Tanning Facilities Legal Base. All public complaints are investigated and corrective action required upon validity with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
